Naphtha Degreaser Solvent in DMT Extraction?

Migrated topic.

Hi all, I hope this is the right place to lodge this query.
I have a 20L Drum of Heavy Duty Degreaser, which is by all reckoning a naphtha-based solvent;
Oilsolve Degreaser is a 100% active quick break solvent based emulsifiable degreasing cleaning fluid suitable for removing heavy deposits of grease, oil, dirt and grime from vehicle engines, motorbikes, lawn mowers, turbines, tools, lathes, work benches, lube floors and walls, driveways and boat bilges. The quick break property of Oilsolve Degreaser ensures that the emulsified grease and oil readily separates in a grease trap, allowing the resultant water layer to be drained to the sewer as treated trade waste.

The MSDS clarifies this by stating the following
Mixtures
64742-82-1. 98% naphtha, petroleum, hydrodesulfurised heavy
71-43-2 <0.1% benzene

My question to you guys is this: Can I use this as a substitute for a solvent in an A/B extraction of DMT? I'm unsure as to the ratios between the naphtha, petroleum and hydrodesulfurised heavy(?). Does anyone have any useful information regarding this? Is petroleum acceptable in a solvent for such an extraction?

I can just as easily get xylene, naphtha, toulene or d-limonene but if I've got purely by accident a 20L Solvent I could experiment with, well then hey... Thanks in advance, you guys are all doing great work in this field and I'm glad I could join the community!

Emulsifiable sounds like a terrible idea...

Is the remaining 2% consisting of detergents?

I suppose you could try running any resulting emulsion through a grease trap...

Yes I was unsure by what implication was meant by "emulsifiable". Does it literally mean it creates emulsions? Because that would be, like you say, a terrible idea.

I'm honestly not sure, that's kind of why I created this thread. There is a definite 1.9% not accounted for. No idea.
