OK so as usual SWIM has been burrowing away through the endless trawls of discussions on this matter for months now and still has no idea which is best to use for extraction.
If he lived in the USA then he'd definitely go for VM&P naphtha because that's what every answer comes down to, but in the UK there are fewer options.
He's seen things from people raving over products such as Ronsonol lighter fuel, Coleman camp fuel and white spirits to other people saying "no, that one's full of carcinogens" and "that one doesn't evaporate cleanly". Then there's the really techincal answers that he can keep up with but provide no solid answer.
SWIM thinks he's settled on hexane then see's people say no only use hexane for re-x and another saying if they could choose between hexane and heptane then it'd have to be hexane but only if VM&P wasn't available.
So what do we actually have here in the UK that is the same as this stuff. Plus what exactly IS IT about VM&P that makes it so superior when compared with these lighter fuels and camp stove fuels etc.
What is the purest form available in the UK to ensure absolute alkaloid extraction without contaminants such as those left behind from evaporation? (SWIM wishes to make pure white DMT from a re-x and not an alkaloid pick 'n' mix but that's just his preference)
Also is there only one "mix" of Naphtha or are there different combinations and if so, how does one determine which to purchase.
SWIM wants to do the extraction with several friends who have all been to DMT hyperspace and all want to have their own personal stash to last so the extraction won't be a small 50g MHRB recipe but a considerably larger one and therefore buying lots and lots of zippo premium lighter fuel isn't really an option and it's better bought in bulk like how VM&P is stocked in the USA.
