naptha in Nevada?

Naptha is difficult to obtain in California. I've been resorting to using up old cans of Energine Spot Remover (100% naptha) and Jon-E Handwarmer Fluid (??% naptha). Is it still availabele in Nevada? I have qualms about ordering it online.

Good question spanda. I think this is a CA only problem and NV should still stock things like naptha, acetone, mek and other solvents no longer sold in CA. I'd like to know for sure though. I've heard Ronsonol lighter fluid is 100% naptha, but it might have some impurities. Best to do a test first before using for extraction. Can anyone in NV confirm that they still sell solvents like naptha, acetone, mek there? Thanks.

I find it extremely hard to believe someone can't get naptha in Nevada. Coleman's Camp Fuel is naptha, and the lamps and camp stoves that use it generally can't use anything else.
Naptha is sold on Amazon.com Under VM&P Naptha it lists, among other things, "What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item? Mimosa Hostilis - 1 Lb. Powdered Inner Root Bark from Brazil"
Ebay has naptha, Sears sells naptha
If you're worried about being flagged for ordering such items online, just remember not to buy these items in bulk, don't be greedy. On Amazon, VM&P Naptha is the #2 selling item under "paint srippers." God knows how many sales that is.
With other items; the powers-that-be are looking for drug distributors. They do not want to waste their time with small-fry who are self-experimenting. Just keep that in mind.

Thanks Fractalelf, your comments are well taken and reassuring. Like you say, 1 can of naptha ordered through Amazon probably won't set off any alarms. I just won't order it by the case.

Well, partly I'm just reassuring myself, I'm no expert in drug law enforcement, but I haven't had any ominous knocks on the door yet.

maybe try some charcoal lighter, like kingsford etc, if thats available. usually around the cookout gear. hard to believe they would have a replacement for it, and theres enough different brands to try out.
