SWIM recently tried the marsofold tek. although, also watched the DMT Extraction Chris Camelot video on you tube. The chris camelot video said that it would be hard to mess up. well, somehow, SWIM managed to mess it up. SWIM followed the Marsofold tek instructions but with smaller measurements and beginning amount of root bark. ..... so SWIM thinks maybe that somehow the PH balance wasnt right. SWIM got a PH meter, an electric one from amazon and isnt sure he calibrated it right. 2 out of the 3 calibrations initially worked when calibrating.
slow cooked already powdered MHRB (give or take about 100g) in crockpot for 3 hours on low heat in about 3 cups water and 3/4 of white vinegar 5%, honestly, via the chris camelot video, he said specifically that the measurements didnt have to be exact, so give or take, wasnt exact though. (also chris camelot video said that this extraction was not time sensitive) Then SWIM strained out the soup, put it in a jar, and then made the sodium hydroxide mixture. SWIM cut the measurements in 1/2 since was was working with about 1/2 of amount of root bark. Added the sodium hydroxide to the strained out soup. and shook for about a minute. SWIM then checked the solution with the ph meter that he wasnt sure was calibrated right, and the the PH read 10.58. So SWIM added like a couple more tablespoons of sodium hydroxide to the solution to try and get the PH balance up to 12 or more, PH still read 10.58, SO SWIM added 2 or 3 more tablespoons of sodium hydroxide, and the PH still read the same. So, as this being SWIM's first time, and also not knowing for sure if the PH meter was even callibrated correctly, SWIM decided to continue just to see what would happen. So SWIM then added the naptha, didnt measure, just poured a bit on top, a lil less than an inch or so. tilted the jar about 10 times upside down to right back up. let sit for over night
SWIM pulled the naptha top layer off the next morning with a plastic turkey baster bc he didnt have a glass one. put the naptha into a glass dish and covered it with cling wrap, tried to get it air tight, but was unseccessufull at that, also put a cutting board over the top of it to attempt to kepp it air tight, but the shape of the glass baking dish was odd, with handles on the sides. SWIM put freezer to the lowest setting and let it it for 3 days.
SWIM checked it twice. and doesnt see ANY crystals in the bottom of the glass baking dish.
SWIM thinks that this is fixable, but isn't sure how to go about fixing it. SWIM thinks that it didnt work right bc the PH balance was off, or maybe too little vinegar? or possibly didnt shake it or stire enough?
SWIM knows that this post may seem a bit silly as hes skimmed over this forum quite a bit and everyone seems so educated and smart. But SWIM would really like some help. SWIM has invested in this project and would really love to redeem it if can be saved and fixed. please help. thanks
