So, I had an idea today and I was wondering if anyone had any input about it. The reason I was thinking about doing an extraction this way is because my freezer doesn't get cold enough to freeze precipitate and I don't like evaporating solvents.
Basically what I had in mind was doing a traditional STB. After you combine all your pulls you would basically do a gibran A/B on the solvent.
Take some vinegar or other acid and put it in a jar with the naphtha and shake it up a bunch. If I am correct the freebase DMT will convert to acetate and leave the naphtha and go into the acid.
After you have the acid solution you can simply base out your DMT using sodium carbonate or lye. After it precipitates decant and add fresh water until it is near neutral and you are good to go.
Any thoughts?
