I am probably older than many folks here at the Nexus...nearly 60 years of age. I'm a product of the 1960's and am a seasoned traveler through many dimensions of space and time. I consumed the soul of the cactus at Woodstock, and was a friend of Owsley Stanley's. Forty years later, I am a medical doctor who does research on neurochemistry and have a personal interest in fungi and entheogens. I still love the consciousness altering experiences provided by Mother Earth, particularly since synthetic experiences are no longer available. Despite my broad experiences, I am an outright newbie at doing these simple chemical extractions myself. I've embarked on my first effort and have already screwed it up. *grin* I suppose I will get the hang of things. I joined the Nexus because I enjoy the company of fellow travelers, and damn if I dont need some help in wrenching these compounds out of Mother Natures hands. Perhaps most importantly, I am not an asshole. I try to be friendly and helpful and truly appreciate the same from others.

So...Cheers! I hope we get a chance to chat....and dont get pissed off about my questions. They may be stupid...but eventually I will learn...honest!
 
wow, friend of owsley himself, went to woodstock, etc? some great experiences you must have had and interesting people you must have been hanging out with heh? ;)

Im sure you'll be able to share a lot with us, also with your neurochemistry knowledge.. Be sure there's gonna be as much questions asked for you as you will ask us hehe

and dont worry about not knowing something or 'noob' questions, we are all 'noobies' in one aspect or another, and we are all experts in one aspect or another. :)

WOW, seing older people on the forum makes me so happy to say the truth :) welcome to the forum feel free to ask anything you wish. People here are so helpful you will see. I wish i will be like you when im 60, extracting plants and exploring different states of mind :) it always seems i cant make it up that far to me tho hahaha. anyways welcome, its nice to see u here
