New subforum layout for the DMT-Nexus

Hello all,

The DMT-Nexus is a growing entity and with that growth comes change. The current change is about the layout of the subfora of the DMT-Nexus. I like to propose to you a new layout. I like to know what people think about this new layout and I need additional suggestions and/or solutions.

The purpose is to reduce the amount of confusing subfura while increasing the logic behind the remaining and/or new subfora.


DMT AND DMT RELATED
* Information / General Discussions (both are merged into one, apart there was too much confusion)
* DMT Experiences
* Synergy/Mixture (This new section describes the dosage/creation of DMT mixtures and synergies)


EXTRACTION

Yes, I like the new ordering.

I would recommend changing the name of the DMT >> Synergy/Mixture section to something like "usage methods" or "usage ideas" or "usage issues" or maybe "practical matters." It could then cover dosage, mixtures, synergies, methods of taking, problems of taking, tricks and techniques of use, etc. IOW, the ins and outs involved in ACHIEVING the DMT experience.

I'm not sure about the Synergy/Mixture section naming too, if possible I like to avoid the word 'usage' since it's so loaded.

Does anyone have an idea for this name and also for the Hyperspace Tavern?
 
Couple thoughts...

Synergy/Mixture could be called Preparations. I think that conveys administration in all forms including mixtures.

Hyperspace Tavern could be called Inspired Discussions. Something to convey general related topics but not too off topic. Ie: topics that derive from inspiration of the overall theme of this entire website. The description sentence under the forum topic name could list music, art, science, gaia, philosophy, fun, etc as a guide.

Both Erowid and the Ayahuasca forums have a Preparation section. I think it's a good word. But I agree it could use a little extra to make sure it is not confused with the extraction side of preparation and more talking about the usage side of preparations...

One small note: In the DMT section, it would seem most logical and well-ordered if the sections were actually put in this order:

1) Information/General discussion
2) Preparations and Methods
3) Experiences


That is the natural order: One gets information and discusses, then prepares and finds a method, and finally has an experience.

If you're moving threads around and looking for any feedback, that Changa thread has been very helpful. It could be more easily found and thereby of more use to others if it were in the preps section instead of the extractions/noob section. (Don't know if that was already in your plan, lots of threads out there I'm sure this is a lot of work, I'll just let you do your thing).

That was indeed the planning. If you know threads like that please link them here so I can move them.
 
Perhaps renaming the Hyperspace Tavern to The Nexus Commons? I like the new layout but feel that perhaps "The Site" should be at the top? Also, I like Preparations and Methods but would probably tweak it to Preparations and Methods of Administration, as "methods" may be a bit too general.

I originally thought "the site" should go on top (and had already been used to it there)...and then I realized: why put that in people's faces FIRST? The first PRIORITY (spice) should be at the top of the list. "The Site" really is more appropriate at the bottom, it now seems to me.
