New Years Resolutions

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
A New Year is on the horizon! 2010, sounds pretty futuristic doesn't it! Well, we are the eyes and ears and hearts and minds of the future, so what are we going to do to help make it a better place for ALL of us? We've got a full moon tonight on the eve of the New Year, if there ever was a time to send some prayers and make some changes, it is now!

My goals for the next year:

To find inspiration and be creative!

To listen to and take better care of my physical body.

To continue to expand my consciousness.

To approach others with humility, love, and gratitude.

Lets make 2010 an awesome year!

Thanks and Praises,
Once

Resolutions?? Hm...not quite a part of my culture but I could give it a go:

1. To try at least 20 different drugs or 50 drug combinations...:p
2. To kick a cop
3. To fully convince my mother to take lsd (she's half way convinced)

Looks like you're getting the hang of it!
Have a great year!
Maybe you could try all three at once!

Oh my, thank you very much!!!

I guess trying all 3 of them will be my 4th resolution. And for the 5th,

5. To convince my mother while she trips on lsd to kick a cop

Not really a resolution, more of a goal.

To pass all my classes..... I got my work cut out for me. Physics and Chem this semester, and lets just say math isn't my strongest subject.

Note to myself: Stop watching porn, get a girlfriend! Meet female conossieurs of hallucinations, attend goa partys! Leave behind your social anxiety and start to live more wildly. Your youth starts to fade and you havn't participated in one orgy. What kind of life is this. Plan B: Enter Club Hypersex.

1. To be as positive and compassionate as possible...

2. To be as open to new possibilities and new things as i can...

3. To spread as much peace and love that i have to give...

Much Peace and Understanding

You pretty much said it for me.

1. Make more effort to be optimistic/positive. The world is pessimistic enough without me adding to it!

2. Stop worrying so much and try to live a bit more.

3. Learn the pronunciation and meaning of one new word each week. As of the second week of January I've learnt loquacious and affectation.

4. Try mescaline and pharmahuasca, but not until the Spring (I don't do psychedelics in winter).

Happy New Year to all.

To accept fear and recognise it's face behind all the various masks it chooses to wear..to walk through the fear and meet it on my terms and move deeper into the other realms and do more work on dream travel.

On January 1,2009 I made a resolution to stop drinking alcohol. I have now been sober for 374 days?

I should mention I lost 80lbs when I stopped drinking. Thats in one year.

On January 1,2004 I made a resolution to stop using cocaine and speed I havent used since.

My only indulgences have been weed maybe 6x a year? Shrooms 6x a year and DMT weekly.

No bad for a former addict/acoholic.

I really believe in New Years resolutions. They have worked for me.

This may sound like an odd question but... are you me?

Congratulations Ice House,

It sounds like you've been through a lot, and done a lot of hard work. Best of luck on continuing to better yourself. Have a happy and healthy 2010!

obliguhl - I like your style dude!! Muchos lollage :d

I'm going to set my intentions down here, as I think this may help me stick to them, and this is the most important year of my life so far...

SORT MY LIFE OUT, BY;

- graduating in June with a 2'1, via focus and determination

- then apply for an MSc in Ethnobotany to possibly undertake a unique opportunity to research psychoactive honey from a very ancient and little known shamanic ritual...

- deepening exploration of the great mystery, via both old and new means

- attend Boom Festival in Portugal

- experience a darkness meditation retreat

- pass my driving test

- meet someone and fall in love

- find my path...

Gonna be a busy old year...😉

I want to study something, maybe engineering.

Now that ive quit weed, I feel as though I have more umpf to get on with life and learn more.

My Christmas break was marked by an unusual amount of consciousness expanding and as a result, I began seriously thinking about what I wanted to do during 2010.

1. Buckle down and do better in school
2. Improve my skateboarding and guitar skeelz
3. Have an intense nature trip, which I'm going to be accomplishing saturday!

And, on a side note: 4) Stop humiliating religious people. I don't even feel angry towards them anymore, just sad for them.
