No One - a poem

They tell you to be some One,
to become some One.
As if being born as One
was not enough of One.

Well… I have become a One,
an accomplished One,
a better than some other Ones,
but who gives two fucks?

You see…
while I was looking for One
I found there is No One,
an infinity One.
Zero is more than One.

If you’re only One
then you’re set to One.
A limited One,
no better than any One.
A single, isolated, self absorbed...
Just some One.

So I wish to be No One,
a zero, infinity, None.
The empty heart of One,
the core of every One,
an unlimited One.

One day when One
plus One is not equal Two,
but rather turns in to
Zero equals Two.

Then every One
can have the Joy of None,
feel compassion for all the Ones,
and love unbound by One.
