Non toxic food safe extraction of mescaline using d-limonene (orange oil)

Migrated topic.
Oh damn. 69ron you did it again.

Now I have to go get some d-limonene....

My alcohol cactus extract days seem to be at an end.

This tek looks too good to pass up, I've been avoiding it for weeks now cause I knew this would happen.

OK. SWIM tried 100mg, to no effect. Now is 2hrs into 300mg and feeling nothing.

His Mesc is like sparkly sand. These are from his later pulls. His first pulls yielded something that looked a little more like what's in breakMYhead's pic.

Is it possible that the sparkly stuff isn't mescaline at all? His first 2 pulls were that amber peel consistency and every one after that has been crystalline.

Or is some cactus just too old. He noticed the very day he purchased his cactus the site he got it off stopped selling it. This suggests to me the guy hasn't been restocking for a while and this was just an old batch that he had left.

Oh and sympathy please because SWIM's been looking forward to trying this for YEARS, then alas... such an anti-climax.

Poor SWIM :(

Guess SWIM will have to test the amber waxy stuff but isn't all that hopeful.

SWIM's put 150mg of the peely extract in his coffee. He reports the mesc scent is a bit fresher this time. Could be just that he's looking for it more though.

We'll see.

SWIM's pure water recrystallization didn't work as well as expected, or he scraped too soon. The part of the dish that he started scraping was dry, tan and waxy, but when he got closer to the other side, he started getting reddish black tar. He didn't finish scraping because of this, but he was wondering whether the tar could be spread back onto the dish and dried further? Or whether it would have to be recrystallized in water. SWIM's going to spread it out quite thin, and if it dries well, it'll probably end up peely and red like breakMYhead's.

SWIM says, no need to wait for it to completely dry. As long as there's no puddles of water rolling around the dish and one has the proper tools (SWIM uses a razor-blade and a lab spatula/scraping tool), one could scrape up the gooey tar, spread it thin back onto the dish, and continue to do so while folding it in on itself repeatedly. Perhaps this works like taffy or hash? SWIM's not sure as he has little to no experience with either, but that's what he imagines. Anyway, it gets quite hard and dry.

swim is in trouble getting limonene in UK

he have found this:

he would like to use food grade but can`t find it :(

please help him

rTyler you gotta find the guys that supply all those links with the pure d-limonene.
Maybe try moulding and casting suppliers (that supply products for the special effects industry).

My mate has only naphta at the moment. Can he used it? Is mescaline freebase soluble in it?

No. It's practically insoluble in naphtha. You'll need xylene, d-limonene (the best), chloroform, or DCM.

swim just tried this tek with a tiny amount of cactus - the tek was hurried and is not finished yet - only 2 pulls were done and the cactus hasnt even digested properly yet - all pulls were done within 5 hours of mixing the cactus and lime

28g outer green flesh from a mix of long spined peruvian torch, bridgesii and bridgesii monstrose were used

mixed with lime and water

it looked better later on

Then evaporated from the vinegar pulls swim yeilded

about 150mg so far - the rest of the work will be done on it today

this stuff is very sticky and kinda hard to handle - is it really worth it to keep it in this form or should swim convert to hcl then wash with acetone - then evap the acetone for the non-mesc actives - anyone tried smoking them yet ?

also to convert this does swim disolve it in 75ml of water with 3 drops hcl added (same ratio as when salting from xylene) and evap ?
can that same ratio be used to salt out mesc hcl instead of using vinegar for the acetate ?
if salting out with hcl instead of vinegar does the hcl solution pick up as much as the acetate pull ?

That's what SWIM's looks like ^^ and all he does is repeatedly, scrape, stretch, spread, and fold it. It'll stay stay sticky but will loose the gooey quality and will maintain it's form for the most part. One could at least get to the point where when it's touched, it feels quite solid but sticks slightly though will not leave a resin. SWIM keeps his in a little pipe tobacco tin where he can easily cut it and scrape it up for weighing and administration (SWIM has fantasies about filling the whole tin so that he can just cut pieces off every now and then).

depending on the cactus SWIM uses he gets different consistencies...his first few batches were nice and waxy..and some of the later pulls become that sticky mess

pull 3 yeilded the same amount as pull 2 - exactly the same stuff too.
The cactus slime has been broken down by the calcium hydroxide a bit more now and it much nicer to work with.

SWIM has now obtained a total of 850mg from 100g peruvian torch and is going to try and pull more. SWIM now finds that scraping up the wet tar, spreading back onto the dish, heating it in the oven for a few minutes, spreading the melted product even thinner and allowing it to cool gets it quite solid.

That's a good way to dry it. The problem is that once the top of it dries, it forms a solid layer that traps the moisture underneath, so scraping it really helps.
