Hi, thanks for your reply endlessness. I already washed the dish with solvent and combined this with another pull from an extraction that was made of the second rootbark, it yielded about 150mg pure white dmt. I´ll think your right, they might have sold me tree-bark instead of rootbark the results on both bark types are very low. Now, i have ordered some mhrb rootbark from an Brazilian Vendor, the parcel already arrived the mhrb colour is significant more reddish, i`ll hope now it`s rootbark, i already did 3 combined heptane pulls on 700ml basified acid-solution (100g rootbark), it is still evaporating till 25 ml then it will go for an freeze precip, i think i´m on the right track. You`re living in Brazil ? Nice, i passed the last year entirely in Alagoas it was magical, i`ll hope your connected to some ayahuasca-group !

yep, im from Dreamland.. glad you had a nice experience! I was never in alagoas but heard good things.
im not into santo daime due to disagreeing with some dogmatic ideas and how they run the rituals (though I know for some people including close friends it makes sense), so Im more into the shamanic way and been having experiences with shamans from the amazon, which is personally working very good for me

Using Noman's tek (STB), do you mix the basified water, bark, and solvent all together and then strain and seperate? Or do you mix the basified water and bark, strain, then mix the solution with the solvent and seperate? Sorry to be such a noob...
No straining involved in Nomans tek. You're doing a liquid-liquid extraction. After appropriate mixing of the two phases, you want to remove the naphtha layer to another jar. (You do this a few times, add naphtha, mix, remove naphtha)

So SWIM would combine the bark/water/lye mixture and the Naptha all together? What is the best way of removing the Naptha? SWIM has a separator funnel, should SWIM just mix in that and let separate. Is the Naptha gonna float or sink?
Naphtha will float, so a sep funnel isn't really an option for an STB (unless you're using DCM). It's great for A/B extractions though.
With STB, using a tall thin extraction vessel allows a large amount of the nonpolar solvent to be poured off, and the rest can be pulled up with a glass pipette/baster/etc.

Any metal pot suitable for cooking will do - one just needs to warm the acidified plant material to aid a faster extraction. One could just incubate at room temperature for maybe 1 day per acid extraction, or put it in the oven at 100 C for 1 hour per acid extraction, or use a crockpot, or any pot, or just be inventive and go experiment and report back here!
SWIM has the impression that lately far too many people ask questions whose answers can either be found after a 5 minute search and/or using some common logic. People who undertake the task of extraction should be willing to do some searching on their own and really try to learn the basics of how these extractions work...

While extracting spice is not as advanced as a chemical synthesis of say LSD, it is something that one needs to research. There is A LOT of info on this site, and most of it is easily accessable through the sites search engine.
I get that people new to this may have a lot of questions, I sure did, but I took the few hours that was needed to research, check different teks, see how they were different and how they were the same. I read people yields using each tek, and read about the problems they ran into and how they fixed it. My first extraction was done without asking 1 single question...I got the right materials. I didn't substitue and then ask how to fix my f-up. I took the time to do it right the first time and follwed the tek exactly as written. After I had a good understanding of what was happeneing I began to improvise and make my own tek that works well for me.
Anyways, that's my rant. Use The Seach Engine provided by the forum. Most if not all questions can be answered using it. There is a wealth of info on here.
Thanks acolon, I have the feeling that Entropymancer had things like this in mind when he made the DMT Extraction Overview topic. But I won't comment more here, this is a topic for asking questions, not criticising them!
