Of course, it's your choice so make nutmeg powder overdose your personal rite of passage if you must. IMO, you risk putting yourself off a wonderful and usefl spice for the rest of your life just because you "wanna get high". Instead, take your time and explore the plant slowly and carefully. I tend to use carmelite water for making the tincture these days - 'these days' being that 100 mL lasts me about six years.Read and learn.
But I've always soaked my freshly ground kernels in ethanol (70+%) for a week or more. I'd test the potency by working up in dropwise increments, then a teaspoon's worth put in coffee or something. Start early in the day, the effects last for a long time.
