i extracted 5 grams of nutmeg into a brown thick oil, if i recrystallize in ethanol, then i will get a white powder thats very pure. anyway heres a picture of the crude extract. just outta curiosity, since the festive days are coming, if i were to infuse this onto herbs, and smoke it would it be active? im guessing most of those toxins are going to be out by recrystallization

what makes you think ethanol would separate out other benzodioxoles and oils?

benzyme, i forgot to mention, i mean recrystallization with ice cold acetone or ethanol, to remove oils and keep myristicin

I'm skeptical that an acetone/alcohol wash would leave anything pure. both elemicin and myristicin have three H-bond acceptors.
