Oh-dokuro-dake or the "skull mushroom"

has anyone ever heard of this? from what i can tell it grows in the caverns of Mt. Osorezan in Japan and has been used by medicine wonman in the area for its hallucinogenic properties.
I found a picture online, but i'm hesitant to post it because i'm not sure how real it is.
 
I had never heard of it, just looked it up but apparently there has been no scientific study about the mushroom. The only one claiming its existence is Dr. Takeshi Yamada from the Museum of World Wonders. According to Wikipedia The museum has made many outrageous comments so the validity of this claim can be taken with a grain of salt.

It does look cool though 😁
 
yeah, i was pretty sure it would be a disapointment from reading the same info you had, but i figured it was worth an iquery here....
