Would an oil burner be ok for vaping?

Some people can make it work, though personally I had little success. I have just burnt the hell out of it, due to poor technique, which leads to an incredibly hot and harsh smoke.

So to answer your question it "should be ok" if you get your technique down, though it is definitely not preferable..

Look into something with induction (?) heating like this , or check the wiki for more ideas

My first go was with one,Very harsh smoke and only felt light headed.For a second i thought i had bunk spice, What would you recomend to be the cheapest Most easily obtainable/effective piece of equipment?

SWIM tried this method with similar results very harsh smoke and not a very vivid trip

The oil burner definitely works and it is the main thing I use but one thing is certain.....you need a match or a torch not just a regular bic lighter. A bic lighter will just ruin your DMT and burn the enamel on your teeth.

Oil burners are great for vaporizing DMT. Use a torch lighter, and hold it far away from the bulb, just enough to melt the spice, once you start inhaling it should really start vaporizing nicely. They key is not holding the flame too close.

I guess i'll give it another go with this method! so you are positive i could achieve the same result's as if i were to use a vg ? as long as i do it right.

Scrubber? in what kind of bowl? can you be more specific please.

Go for the GVG Sherlock. I am so happy I did. Was it expensive? Yes. Can you use an oil burner? Yes. But I couldn't deal with the vapor well enough to breakthrough. And I'm using much less spice now.

Trust me if i had the money i would but i really cant right now.

Construct a Machine as a pipe to smoke spice! Next best thing to a GVG! And costs next to nothing to make! I paid $3 for my bottle and $1-2 for the mesh.

Step #1
Build the bottle part:
Get a small bottle (100ml - 200ml)
Buy a grass drill bit
Carefully drill a hole in the bottom of the bottle
Wash the bottle after
Bottle is ready

Step #2
Metal mesh ball:
Heat up until red a metal mesh ball (scrubber pad)
Place metal mesh ball inside the tip of neck of the bottle (a ball the same size as the bottle neck wide and about 1/2 inch thick)
Machine is complete!

How to use:
Add spice and heat lightly to melt
Once spice is melted, you can hold the bottle any any angle (lay back, sit up, bottle any direction)
light spice from a distance of 2-3 inches with a torch lighter. DONT get to close or you will burn the spice!!
Aim for getting it all in one huge toke and put the bottle down and lay back / get comfortable
Close your eyes and have a good trip!
