Old Ayahuasca still drinkable?

Hi everyone.. been away from the forum for a while.. been going through my own stuff..

I have a jar of unreduced Ayahuasca that has been sitting in the back of my fridge for a little more than a year, and was wondering if I boiled it first, is it still going work for me? Is it safe to drink?

Forgot to ask as well.. I drank a good amount of DM cough syrup last night. Is this going to effect me at all if I drink Aya tomorrow evening?
