Orange oil that won't dry/solidly?

Migrated topic.

Hello fellow seekers. My friend has done many extractions and on several of these after multiple naphtha pulls will use xylene to pull full spectrum and attempt to not waste any of the bark. Most of the time he gets an orange goo that once scraped around a bit on the pyrex and hit with a fan, it will harden into a waxy substance that can be chopped into a powder. But every now and then and possibly currently, he will get oil that appears to look the same but it will never harden or dry. Is there any way to turn this into a different form, such as re-x maybe? he didn't know if it would work on the oil. Thanks.

-You could dissolve in naphtha and freeze precipitate.
-Mini A/B is another route then use a different solvent.

-or you could use another solvent like d-limo and precipitate out a salt form like benzoate, alternatively you could use xylene and salt out the DMT with fumaric acid (with acetone). Look up FASA.
These will form DMT salts though, so if you want freebase again you could rebase and pull again.

he warmed 40ml of naphtha and put the oil in it, but evaporated instead of the freeze precipitation route. oddly he was left the exact same color goo after all the solvent evaporated. it had turned a nice cloudy color so he thought the evap would yield at least something different. he's just playing around hoping to get a little more out of aqueous solution before discarding it. he has xylene and acetone so he'll probably try that route then if that doesn't work then worst case scenario hit the oil with the nectar collector. Thank you for the options.

Yeah he will if the acetone xylene doesn't work. At this point he's just determined to get this to turn into a solid. Thanks again
