After extracting with acidic water and concentrating this residue was left on the pan kind of a smooth feel when rubbed between the fingers((PXL_20231114_232143531.jpg approximately 100mL of DCM was added and separated... when adding 10% NaOH (aq) to the DCM solid precipitated((Ok.jpg)).. Then the solution was brought to pH 13 ..again DCM was used and upon evaporation it contained next to nothing. After a week the solution looks like this ((PXL_20231114_232309404.jpg )) testing several naphtha products from the hardware store using a mirror and a good loop I'm still seeing a bit of distillate left outlining where the drops where.

Iv'e found that zippo fluid has worked etter for me than the naptha products from the hardware store. And Xylene also. I haven't worked with DCM.

Iv'e been considering a p. viritis extraction of my own. If I were to perform such extraction, my plan would be to brew the viritis leaves in water which had been acidified with vitamine c. And brew the leaves as if one were brewing aya. Then perform an acid to base extraction on the result with sodium carbonate and zippo fluid and / or xylene.
