Paraffin found in DMT during spectroscopy

Hi everyone,
I am quite new here. I have experience with psilocybin, but have never tried DMT before. I've been reading about it for a while. [Mod edit: sourcing talk] I now have DMT freebase and went to a testing facility near me, where they analyzed it using spectroscopy, they did find there was N,N DMT, but also found there was some trace or another substance, paraffin . Although in unknown concentration, as the test can not identify the quantity of a known substance.
After some research, I found out that it is dangerous to inhale paraffin, I was wondering where do you guys think this substance can come from ? Is it frequent to find residue of paraffin inside DMT samples after some methods extraction? Perhas some impurity? Or perhaps it might be a bulking agent that was used ?

Sadly, I suspect the answer to your question is that the contaminants came from poor extraction techniques, tools or vessels or just nasty people.

The best way to get DMT and to be honest the most potent and cleanest DMT you will ever get, is DMT that you extract YOURSELF at home. The Wiki link above-center will lead you to extraction paths. If you can cook a dinner from scratch ingredients using a recipe then you can extract DMT. You are literally pulling (using chemicals and solvents) the DMT from plant material. As long as you keep extractions small, it is quite safe. And your home extracted DMT will be so clean. You will know what went into getting it, when that happened and why because YOU will be in charge of the process.

I would encourage you to discard/dispose of the material that you currently have and save up and start investing in some easy, low grade (no need for fancy lab equipment) extracting materials and start studying up on teks. Trust me, DMT is worth waiting for.

Your health and safety are VERY important. Get rid of that material you have, please. I want you to be free, healthy, happy and able to trip not only today, but tomorrow and decades in the future. Home extraction is the pathway to get you there safely.

Paraffin could be used in defating step of one style of extraction, but it is difficult to imagine how it could end up in final product.

You could purify your material by yourself using A/B as paraffin should be insoluble in water. But it would be better to not use it at all as any doubts about quality or possible toxicity could very severely harm your experience with it.
