Thank you so much for posting this Gir, I have been feeling a lot of hostility on the nexus as of late and have commented on it several times. I would ask all members new and old to take a deep breath and remember why we're all here. We are all of the same essence...none of us would be here if not for supernovas throughout the universe...the golden rule may seem cliche, but that's only because cliche has been turned into a cultural weapon to alienate us from the deepest truths. You ARE all my brothers and sisters and I love you all very much

I thought I'd take a second to just reiterate some of the nexus attitude that seems to be ignored as of late...

We EMBRACE those who have curiosity about or experience of voyaging in the worlds of spice (DMT) .
•Spice takes us to worlds BEYOND egos and personalities.
•Spice journeys can be harrowing. Those undergoing them need SUPPORT from travelers who have gone before them.

If you’ve cruised the forum you have surely seen that the nexus is different from any other forum.

•We respect each other and support each other, because we know that anyone willing to make these journeys automatically deserves respect and support.
•We mostly avoid the petty types of forum fights and cliques seen on many forums because our topic is anything but petty.
•We understand that members have a variety of experiences and opinions because the universe is infinite—and no one can really carve a piece off for himself and declare it the “only truth.”
•Most of us are generous in giving love and support because we know how much love and support we need ourselves.

Since most of our members agree about the above, we don’t really have much need for rules. We aren’t school children here; and most people here have long ago determined to reach beyond the rules that culture and society are so eager to set. Be that as it may, below we list some points that can serve well as a guide to the types of posts that work best in the community:

•It’s easy to be humble: There are many professional chemists and scientists here; and there are also many who have travelled extensively in the world of spice.
•Being aggressive or contentious won’t do anything for you here. You’ll quickly find that people won’t respond to you if they feel your intentions are aggressive or petty.
•It follows from the above: If someone unthinkingly treats you in an aggressive or petty manner it’s best to just ignore them.

We all need love and support, just as much as we need food and oxygen. Nurturing each other with our love and support is one of the most powerful ways we can enliven and embolden each other's spirits. We recognize that this nurturing will not come from outside society, at least not in the current socio-political climate. It is on us to take care of and look out for each other.

Right even though we at nexus have never met (or some have.. Not sure, not the point) we still should show compassion towards each other. I know that I personally love this forum. It brings me pleasure everytime I enter the chat, or read a post in advanced chemistry section that I have NO KNOWLEDGE whatsoever about. These little nuggest of info make my day so much better. and seeing posts like "I think its wrong to do this" or "You have no right" "Your wrong" "this is bullshit" hurt my inner self, to the soul.

We should not be using brash or condoning words on each other, we should be embracing the fact that we here are a special group, and should be protecting each other from outside attack, not making civil wars inside our own secluded paradise. This is our little nook in the great expanse that is reality, a digital reality..but reality none the less. The forums is owned by Traveler yes, but this is all OUR forum, OUR place, OUR escape. there is no singular in a family like this.

i cant agree more...thanx for posting this...ocassionaly, with a healthy curiosity, one will ask the enevitably stupid qustion, but a good teacher doesnt grind that student beneath his heal with venomous words but gently, and clearly explains his error and make sugestions to avoid such foolishness in the future

Eh, sometimes a swift kick to the rear is in order, but a vicious kick to the groin is always uncalled for.

Good forum habits should be encouraged and bad forum habits addressed, but this is most effectively achieved through a display of good habits when doing so. If someone asks something that can be easily searched for, throw a few links their way to show them just how easy it is, and that will also help to cut down on the recurrence of those questions.

Healthy debate is calm and collected. I often find myself having to revise my posts. Don't be afraid to use delete.

I typically read only very select topics, these days, though I try to chime in to help with extraction questions as much as possible. I could imagine that I would help out more if thread titles were a bit more well though out and descriptive.

I haven't had much time to be super active on the forum lately, and was kind of feeling the tension in a lot of posts I read - wanted to stay out of that whole vibe.

Maybe the Saturn/Mercury retrograde one-two has just flubbed our communication up while forcing us to reevaluate what the commitments of the community are.

Heh. I didnt write this post up to get famedom. Thanks for praising, but its my understanding that both Snozzleberry and myself, and from the looks of it, a lot of other nexians, feel this is getting to be a big thing. So re-read everything everyone has posted here! We all seriously should be loving each other. We are quite a unique family, and that by all means should be a Precursor to the love and peace we should share.

Personally I am sick of being nice to people on this website hence why I haven't been coming around here much anymore.

I've wasted hours of my time trying to correct peoples rediculous theories about dmt and psychedelics and human physiology or at least try to bring them into focus only to get attacked as "not being open minded" "arrogant" among other things. When it was clear to me at least that the individuals making the claims had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Individuals who are completely brainwash by new age BULLSHIT!

When conversations have degraded to the point where people try to make me prove that "rocks aren't conscious" thats where I draw the line and start referring to that individual as an idiot because thats what they are an idiot.

So I say fuck all this huggy wuggy niceness. People who are stupid should be told they are stupid because their ideas are counter productive and dangerous to the progress of legalization or at least acceptance of these substances by society.


So fuck it humbug thats how I feel. If you all don't like it I don't give a fuck at least I know my work in my real life is making a difference despite what idiots on the internet think.

When you take the stand as the advocate of rational science in a forum filled with spiritual people and also some very far-out people, you WILL get attacked. Of course you will, just as someone claiming rocks are conscious will get attacked if they present their viewpoints to a group of scientists.

I completely understand that this may be hard to bear with, but you do not exactly make things easy for yourself. You very statement of "brainwashed by new age bullshit" is exactly what I am talking about. You can't just say that every part of everything in the "new age" is bullshit and everyone that believes in anything of it is brainwashed, especially not without backing it up with anything else than your own feeling on the subject.

You are a wealth of very relevant and good information, and I really like your take on a number of issues here. But I really dislike the tone you have when confronting people that have another viewpoint to life than you have. If you can't have discussions with people with different belief systems, then I suggest that you conserve your words to the discussions about scientific matters, not philosophical and spiritual matters.
