Phalaris Aquatica Extraction

Phalaris Aquatica alkaloid content approx. 0.1% DMT, 0.022% 5-MeO-DMT, and 0.005% bufotenin


Looking closely at the structure of the 3 main alkaloids one would assume xylene would pull more 5-MeO and Buf than naptha would.

looking at the xLogP values for various solvents and enthogens confirms this



When Smoking a mixture of approximate ratio of 5:1 DMT:5-MeO with a trace of Buf. would it be discernible from pure DMT and if so, how?


The reason I ask is because .022% is a non negligible amount, and given the potentcy of 5-MeO it seems a waste to use naptha which would pull far less than xylene.



PS. Kudo's to all of you who preform these extractions at home, I was arrogant, with all my synthetic work in the lab I thought this would be a piece of cake, its a whole new ball game

I am sure there would be a difference, but that doesn't mean its wouldn't be good. Mixes of chemicals and herbs with DMT at very small, like homeopathic amounts, can have a profound effect on the experience. 5-MeO is strong too.... i cant comment on it myself but i know the combo is used. All plant sources are going to have their own flavor.... go for it. smoke it and tell
