so, i don't know if this is against any rules or not, but i re-read the attitude and saw nothing (if this is against the rules, feel free to delete)

basically, i am planning on going to hawaii (kauai) this coming february, and i was told by a fungically-inclined friend that i should go a-hunting for some of our squishy friends.

my two questions are this, will they even be out at the time? (the first half of feb) and if so, where are some good spots to check (nothing too specific, just a general idea of what side of the island, and/or what conditions to seek out)?

ideally i would want to find some pans, as i have been lookin to get some cyan or azure spores for quite some time now, but i am open to receiving abundance in all of its forms.

looks like the only fungi that grow there are

Panaeolus bispora
Panaeolus cambodginiensis
Panaeolus cinctulus
Panaeolus cyanescens
&
Panaeolus tropicalis

got it from there. but this list isn't final. it needs to be updated.

i don't know what to tell you. hope this helps though :)

definitely.

also is it known if these fungi contain relatively high levels of baeocystin? i know azurescens as well as a couple psilocybes do, but i can't seem to find any info on these species (not that i know where to look other than google).
