pipette pump

I don't know if it's the right section to post this (correct me if i'm wrong).
Anyone try this pump for pippette works ? it's usefull, better than a gum pump ?
...i can buy one of this and i wonder if it'a a good thing or not, i found it for 25 ml.

I have a pipette gun that works pretty well for biochem and microadditions in organosynthesis.

I suggest a glass syringe. You can even get stainless steel luerlock tips for dirty dirt cheap.

thanks, but this thing no ? a glass syringe....with this thins i can move a wheel to suck or relase liquid...isn't better ? sorry but separate for me it's a pain..i allway have to wash more and more tiomes...i have a sep funnel but with tek like cyb isn't suitable...only for wahs at the end....why it's better a galss syringe ? sorry but i have to learn

Just use a 10ml glass syringe. Once you get used to operating it with 1 hand you'll never go back. But if this is what you really want then by all means go for it. Syringes are quite exact and very easy to control, simple to clean, and don't often drip all over creation. Plus a syringe allows you to squirt back any drops of undesirable black soup.

A separatory funnel is useful in every step of an extraction, perhaps you should consider filtration equipment as opposed to pipette equipment first Just my .02

That particular pump works pretty well. I have been using it with 10ml pipettes for a few years.

It I kind of cheap so you do have to be careful not to break it & work slowly.

I found it to work better than a syringe & the length of a 10ml pipette far outreaches any syringe I have ever seen which has it`s benefits, mainly the layers being deeper when accidentally sucking up basic soultion. When you are attempting to conserve solvent & only do 40-50ml pulls, even a couple ML extra per pull I valuable. Especially when it is highly saturated.

I recently picked up the very set you image in the OP. Previous to purchasing them I worked with a baster-- the upgrade was well worth it.

They are not the greatest quality in the world-- the fit isn't perfect between pump and pipette, and the whole apparatus feels a bit cheap, but I am still really happy with the purchase. My favorite aspect of them is that if you pick up any of the impurities as you siphon, you can easily see it and drip the impurities back into the vessel.

Are all good advice, they didn't cost much, i have to investigate also for glass syringe, but maybe i buy both.
When doing tek like cyb where the material remains in the jar i can't use sep funnell, but i use to clean my pulls or if a made a tek with acid boils/filtration, yes i need more on filtering setup....
