Hi I am just another soul looking to be saved by self-revelation, please share your experiences of Peruvian Torch with me that I may continue to find the courage to continue on this path, spurned on by curiousity and wonder... I am one of those who finds much fearfulness to contend with in my psyche.

Hello also from glasgow Dragonfly:)

Torch is great stuff, its great for socialising, i take torch failry regualry and tbh I use it more recreationally than for spiritual purposes. Gives you a great cosy stimulating effect that lasts all day, usually lasts too long that why I usually does before 12pm. Its never been overbearing for me and I feel like I could take really high doses of it, think its the only psychedelic ive took and thought it there was no way it could overwhelm me so could benefit you, only thing is getting all that plant material down, thats why I made resin so its easier to consume and to see the difference, only difference I noticed was it was half of what you would normally have to consume, which was good enough for me. Caffein is an essential to kick it in, also theobromine helps potentiate as does three datura stramonium seeds, I always take these things with my cactus to make it go further. A few drinks of alcohol go well with it too, as I said great for socialising but recenbtly a friend of mines has stopped drinking and we would take cactus and it was kinda similiar to having a few beers, great stuff highly reccomended, hope that helped!

ahhhhh dude... i met Jesus on the pachanoi... spiritually speaking....i haven't really hallucinated much on it... but that hasn't been my focus either.... it's phenomenal if you want to be in touch with the 'body' .... yeah and in higher doses it's phenomenal as well,,, lasts longer... 12 hrs or more strong.... i like it for the long window of getting to spend time with the spirit... .....used peruvian once, it kinda made me sick and tried to make it a strong one,, i think it's just a weak plant,,great for my garden... but ive heard its wonderful... could just be my specimen...

infinite,,, i've done a little research on the seeds.... sounds like i need to read more... been hearing lately of this...

I've never tried it either but I'm very interested. How do you guys deal with the nausea? I just read a chapter in Pihkal where they tried 500mg of mescaline and Shulgan finds that putting it in juice and drinking it slowly (like over 30mins) helps alot with the nausea as compaired to chugging.

Also How much peruvian torch is needed? I've read that it differs from plant to plant. I've also read that stressing the plant with darkness or no water or what not for a few months increases the mescaline content.

Just a thought, Would Datura seeds help with nausea because the scopolamine in them is the main ingredient in motion sickness pills?

How strong is it?
That depends on "which pachanoi". It is highly variable.

Isn't T. pachanoi weaker than peyote?
That depends on "which pachanoi" you are talking about. Reports published in scholarly journals have shown pachanoi to sometimes be twice as strong as peyote. In addition, T. pachanoi grows a few orders of magnitude faster than peyote; pachanoi can double in mass every year, while peyote takes about a decade to grow to flowering size. T. pachanoi branches can grow to 18' by 4" dia, while natural peyote tops out at about 2" high by 4" dia. T. pachanoi is certainly a formidable mescaline producer and has three millenia of human usage. "Weak" is really an unfair word to apply to either plant.

In addition, peyote is illegal to posess (lacking religious exemption) and is becoming endangered in nature; hence it is harder to find, while T. pachanoi often turns up at the local nursery, etc. How strong *is* the cactus you can't get?

The same would presumably apply to T. peruvianus.

I once drank a tea that was equivalent to ~18" of T. pachanoi; it was 36" total made into a tea and split between two people (I believe ~12" is generally a "dose" ), and it turned out to be a light to medium trip.

I actually had no noticeable nausea through the whole trip, though it was hard to down the big glass of tea we each ended up with. Figured out that tortilla chips and salsa on the side make it bearable. :)

Torch is a wonderful healing plant, one of the Master Teachers and definitely strongly oriented to the positive. Negative experiences can occur, though I've only seen them happen when combined with Syrian Rue. I believe that a purge is part of the experience, much like Ayahuasca. It helps to clean out the energetic impurities that build up in your system after so much exposure to mass media, the way it feels to be in a city walking around on the street in general...these are things for which Torch is a wonderful antidote....maybe that's the wrong word. If you are considering journeying with the Torch, I would recommend you prepare more than you think you will need. Mescaline, as opposed to DMT, is very stable and long-lasting in solution so drink up your tea, dose up slowly, and save whatever is left for later on, assuming you don't just keep drinking until the sun comes up a few times :)

woah...this can be done?.... cheetah has never done it that way ....hmmm.... how long do you go for?... seems like one would 'go' for 20+ hrs... no?

Hehe that was kind of a joke there. There would most likely be some tolerance issues that develop after the first dosage takes effect, eventually leading to the fruitless drinking of the most disgusting fluid in the world. I have seen people with GIANT cups of tea in front of them slowly dosing up gulp by gulp and they didn't experience as much nausea as the chuggers, and they just stopped drinking it when they felt they had approached what they were looking for. Their leftovers went on to inhabit the freezer and eventually be thawed out and slowly gulped a couple months later with no appreciable loss of potency.

Ahhhhhhhh, Torch.
Plenty of Torch X Bridgesii in the growing fields here as well, and it too is highly recommended ... and insanely fast growing if you're into that side of things....

Torch, Bridgesii and Scopulicola all strike me as more introspective, more about what's inside me, as opposed to straight-up Pachanoi, which has a greater porpensity to put me in touch with things "outside" me transcending space and time (though by the end of the experience, outside becomes inside anyway).

Just a note: whenever I drink that stuff warm, it's purge time.

who keeps spreading this BS??

besides being factually not true, its not nice to the plant.
if you think stressing a plant for you enjoyment is ok,
let someone who cares about the plants spirit grow them. order your stuff from peru

that sounds a bit harsh, but really, where does the MYTH come from??
