Hello Everyone!!
So today I tried out some new methods of preparation for my "Ayahuasca" (in quotes cause I haven't actually made a successful batch yet, and I've only been using rue and Chali. sooooo not the real stuff if ya know what I mean). I made a mini Herbal Peculator and put 10 (9.9) Grams of Chali (Ground into powder so fine it would create a cloud similar to what flower does if blown by air) in it and ran some Hot vinegar water through it. As the water moved down to my jar and eventually stopped trickling, I reused it. The first time it went through it came out clear. The second time a deep reddish brown. So I re used the water about 3 times before adding some orange juice and then a little lemon essential oil. After those two were added, It was filtered another 3 times. Then New vinegar water was used, and from the start lemon oil (roughly the same amount as last time) was added. A small portion of the previous liquid (with the orange juice in it) was added for extra volume and this was filtered through 3 times. The peculator was run through and then the top rag was pressed as to get as much out as possible. The second batch of water mix to run through didn't pick up hardly any extra coloration, so the process was believed to have been finished.
From here I though Id go ahead and do a experiment as I have plenty of Chali. left and can run the peculator anytime with it (First time using it and let me say, It is great. I have had complaints about the smell of my brews lately when boiling and evaping and thus has led to limited ability to use the stove haha).
So here were my steps after this:
I added Calcium Hydroxide to the mix. No reaction was noticed even after stirring, so Baking Soda was added. This caused a defiant reaction. More was added of both until solution was no longer reactive when stirred vigorously. Liquid was then allowed to settle and 5/6th was siphoned off with a 5ml dropper and stored in another jar. Remaining liquid was then mixed with more Soda and Lime until it had reached a defiant freebase smell and had a dark brown red color consistency. From here solution was left to sit until it had settled. Then about (and I say this because I unfortunately down have a exact number on it right at the moment) 15-25ml of 100% Lemon Essential Oil (researched and found by me to be about 70% Lemonene) was added and the jar was capped, shook, and left to settle. The once light yellow oil had turned a dark dark red brown color. It was siphoned off and noted for still being foggy. The oil was then filtered through a Cotton ball into a small bottle. A note was taken of the clearness as it had improved greatly.
Under light the oil glows a blood orange red color, and when not in direct light it is damn near black. Still smells like lemons predominantly but has a slight, barely noticeable Chali. smell to it.
Recently I have been infusing my E-Juice with lemon essential oil, and let me say it vapes very well, hasn't exploded yet , and tastes like a crisp lemon (or like Ozium smells if you are familiar).
I plan to try and vape a bit of the tincture in my spare tank after mixing with some E-Juice to determine if it is active, or not. I am hoping that it is indeed in a freebase form still, even though it was mixed with the lemon oil.
Anyways, Thank you for reading! I hope to hear some replies on the opinions of this. And I apologize if this is posted in the wrong area. I don't particularly have any questions, but I wanted to share this with all you guys and due to being a new member my posting rights are limited.
Here are some pictures of the oil! It is still a tad bit unfiltered, and I plan to filter again with a coffee filter a few times to achieve maximum clearness and lol non atomizer clogging.
And Note: I did edit the pics a bit to sharpen the images as they were cropped to fit better. Also the one with the black and white flashlight has the color taken out except for the color of the tincture.
