filter and reduce that down and evaporate that?
i imagine the yields would be low, and there would be more plant material; but is there any reason this wouldn't work to some degree?

and what would be necessary to convert it to fb? i cant even find info on what state it is in when brewed (no acid)

It's all in the FAQ.
It's in salt form during the acid boil, if you don't use acid it's still in salt form because the plant is naturally acidic and stores the alkaloid as a salt.
Not using an acid in your boil will only result in the alkaloid being left in the plant matter.
Salts don't vaporize well.
Freebase does.
The conversion to freebase is what happens during the basification step.
The extraction of freebase is what happens during the NP pulls.
The method of vaporization doesn't change any of that.
The only other means of administration that would work for what you're talking about is sticking it up your ass.

interesting.. i was actually considering rectal administration.

but yea, i saw in a changa thread that people were using water rather than IPA or acetone to evap dmt onto their changa.. just got me thinking...

so could one theoretically basify a brew (say with CaHO) and then evap that?

It will definitely work. But you might want to do egg or gel tek on it. Or you can use activated carbon (which is IME much harder to make it work). If you do one of these teks, you will end up with CLEAR liquid (almost like water). I believe that if you reduce it to few ml, than basify with Ca(OH)2, let it dry completely and than pull with acetone/IPA, you will end up with pretty clean freebase.

Well if you only filter it, most tannins will still be in your final product. And yes the last pull is necessary if you want separate DMT from base.
