Power of Intention

Migrated topic.

I would like to hear thoughts on going into hyperspace with intention. Especially with intentions around specific areas of healing/understanding. Say I want to try and understand more about compulsiveness / moderation.

I know it must have some effect as clearly whatever is going on in your head is echoed back to a certain degree.

Does it make a considerable difference or does it all just go out the window when the rocket takes off?

It does make a considerable difference.

I do verbalize an intention or a declaration a lot. But its more about feeling your intention than just saying it. It is better to have
as calm, relaxed, uplifted, physically and mentally well state of being to have a better DMT trip. So you need to relax, calm your mind, and really compose yourself until you know you're good and that you are not just saying your intention, but feeling it. Let go, and smoke. DMT has always been fond of me when I am well composed.

Every so often, someone will mention that DMT will give you what you need, not what you want. I agree. You might want to try changa, pharmahuasca, or ayahuasca to paint a more clear picture when looking for healing and understanding.

If thats where the your destiny lies, in restraining the senses, in going beyond the five agregates in order to achieve higher levels of fulfillness, happiness, knowledge, and peace in life, then these sacred medicines will help you with that. They are the unbounded, they heal in very complex ways because at their best they show things truly incomprehensible in the moment while that the feeling is amazing, beyond description. Later you remember the image, the feeling, "oh...thats why it heals." Its all about love. We want love, unity consciousness, compassion at a very high level. And the sacred medicine DMT, THE DOORWAY TO INFINITE LOVE, gives these things. And that is exactly what a person who wants to go beyond the five agregates needs to see. Its exactly what one needs to experience; that very high level of consciousness is IT. This is the glory of God, the Light of God. God bless. Namaskar.

Dear OP

Your post is really interesting because it's one of the reasons I want to take DMT even though I made the decision to give up drugs for good a while back. A couple of years ago I suddenly developed Bruxism, apparently due to traumatic events that took place years before and it has started to become a issue for my teeth recently.

Please let me know what else you find out in the future if you don't mind?

The medicines know what to work with on you.. much better than you know.. They know what you need.. And the you is nothing else then the ego.. The best approach is usually to just give yourself over with trust and the rest sorts it self out.. The whole intention is born out of the ego.. Its better to go in with clarity without thought of expectation and wanting..

Absolutely this.

I no longer have "intentions" going into trips. The trip does what it does and shows what it shows. As if an intention is going to "control" or "influence" any outcome!! Even the thought of influencing or leading the journey is against the nature of DMT.

There´s often little things that add up and become a big change. That´s why its so important to integrate the experiences in your daily life.

For example i once smoalked in an uncomfortable place and got held back from the trip. So next time i made sure to be comfy and then i realised how often my posture is really bad. So i changed that which
also effected my mood and even how people look at me.

What i want to say is there´s always sth. to learn even if its not what you are looking for.
In the long run it might lead to that.

Have a good one dyude

First let me thank all for the input. Your comments are beautiful, insightful and much appreciated.

I do agree that perhaps it is ego to try and have an intention but isn't it all about the ego in the first place? I mean that not in the sense of trying to control the experience but allowing the experience take one closer to the point of liberation from the ego. Trust and surrender and "not give way to astonishment". Easier said than done for sure.

I think changa seems like the best bet. I like the idea of being able to temper the initial anxiety and be able to go deeper if it feels right. I plan on slotting a couple of hours and see where the experience takes me.
