I look forward to the creativity expressed through the April fool's prank put on by Trav and the rest of the mods every year. It's a tradition, and like all normalcy, I'm guessing it too has fallen victim to the expanding global pandemic crisis.

I get it, although I'm conflicted between the need to retain our sense of humor through this time of uneasy uncertainty balanced with the need to keep stressors at a minimum, even if said stressor is indeed humorous. Maybe y'all decided that the prank would conflict with keeping access to information and communication open?

For posterity's sake, what did y'all have planned for this year, and what was the decision making process around suspending it? Or did you just run out of ideas?

I was not here yet last April. I did not know that was a tradition. What’s an example of a prank from previous years?
That one year they turned me right into a toad...
I thought I was stuck like that forever.
Sigh...

Did someone kiss you to turn you back? Or did you have to figure out how to smoke your own venom?
Laughing here,
No, man. My wife wouldn't come near me.My old, big dog gave me a couple of his stinky slurpies and ambled away. Didn't seem to help either. But next day I woke up on the floor, back to me again...

It's hard to describe the pranks that can happen here.
They are sophisticated.
They are startling.
They are great - Just like the Nexus!

Last year they turned the titles of all the threads to read "A Jar of Peanutbutter." You couldn't really browse threads that day!

The questionnaire was an april fools joke turned into reality.

I look forward to next year when a coronal mass ejection from the Sun wipes out the internet. The April Fools joke would then have to be in the telepathic internet created by people doing DMT/Ayahuasca.
