For what it's worth (and, as usual, that's 'not much') I think we might be being a little tough on the OP here.

I'm not really a prank kind of guy (either giving or recieving) but, to be fair, it's a bit of soap on a wipe-cleanable wall. No big deal. Perhaps OP and his housemates have that kind of relationship, I don't know, but no harm really done.

All that said, I have never felt like doing anything remotely like this on shrooms. Staring out of the window repeating "I love Gaia so much" tends to be more my speed.
