preparation of nicotiana rustica snuff??

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
I was wondering if anyone had a great preparation for making snuff out of rustica. I know that it needs to be a very fine powder. If any additives can be added I would more than appreciate the suggestions!

I recently tried commercial snuff and like it much more than smoking. But I want to make my own with a higher alkaloid ratio tobacco that I know is chemical additive free.

I am using self-made n. rustica and n. sylvestris snuffs for some years nows.
Really awsome stuff!

Instructions:

1. dry the leaves and ground them (green leaves (= quick dry) are preferred)
2. Weight the leaves and add 2-4 percent of sodium or natron (the less base
you use, the more agreable the snuff is for your nose)
3. Mix it with a little bit of water and let dry.
4. Then powder it, until you got a very fine dustlike powder!
5. Enjoy: 50-100 mg is a sufficent dosage!

Great admixture for all classic psychedlics. A great and underestimated booster.
It is like food for the brain/thoughts.

And: If your nose is sensitive, you should take a few drops of sesame oil in
your nose. This takes away 90 % of burning... it works like charme.

My experience with snuff that is too fine, ends up coating my respiratory tract.
Not sure if it is my technique? Tho I don't think it is?
This has made we weary of continued attempts.

With the snuff, the point is to absorb not too much and not to fast.
The snuff should get contact with the lower "inner parts" of your nose,
not the upper parts, which more sensibel.
But anyway, snuffs are not everybody thing. The nose is per se a sensible terrain...
I would recommend a slow aproach, like try on several daya just a little
bit (30-50 mg?)

i tried this when i was younger with store bought tobacco because i was always interested in this method of ingestion. I had little success. I might have to give it another try with the aztec tobacco i got in the garden....
