profound feeling

so i have just successfully completed my first extraction and although i have never used dmt and am currently assimilating how my life may change shortly i am left with a very unusual feeling after having created almost a magic spell out of nothing.

i feel like i am dreaming and having an awesome dream that i made this magic potion that will allow me to do incredible things and im a bit bummed out i may wake up at any minute

but i "know" its not a dream and its going to actually happen.

i have watched and read a lot of trip reports over the last few years so to know im about to enter that after having been refused entry for so long is really weird.

i just wondered if anyone else out there felt the same way

A little apprehension mixed with excitement sounds familiar to me. I think it shows you have a healthy respect for what you are about to do.

What you say about the dream-like feeling (besides it being, perhaps, the incipient effect of naphtha fumes ) reminds me of how psychedelics often seemed to start working before I'd taken them. This also applied to certain of my friends as well. It's probably just anticipation of an adventure into the unknown, of course.

Bear in mind, it can take a bit of practice to get the vaporisation and inhalation techniques just right, so there's just that final furlong before entering a whole new labyrinth.

Do you have a specific device or method lined up yet?

i think i would use a positive step up from apprehension, i went through that a good while back when deciding how much i wanted to make this happen.
now its more excitement and "at last!" but i feel distinctly different in my overall character.
more confident for sure (and i already was)

when i did something this morning that most of us men do at that time it was the most amazing one ever, dont make me spell it out lol and i knew it was linked to what i created this week.

with each item i purchase such as now the final item...the ingestion device.... its been like a mental rocket countdown
im now down to 1
in a few days when it arrives it will be
LIFTOFF

as said above, i definitely feel different in a very positive way.
i work for myself and yesterday was just weirdly awesome.... i wrote the following and thats not something i do

today i cried
from nowhere
the realization this will be the last few days the world will ever look the same
not fear
not sorrow
im not sure what
just knowing i think
i feel im about to leave 2d forever

i wanted to have a lasting written memory of how i felt before .
i do not take this journey lightly

Sorry for this but I just have to respond to this so about 3 days after my second fling with bufo I awoke in the morning and as I was settling down with a cupa it came out of nowhere and was so intense I didn’t even touch it needless to say I spent the next few days very confused

by virtue of years of studying the dmt subject and having gone through all i have gone through to get to here today, i believe i have already thanked and paid homage to nature, be it "male or female"

without the help of some users of this forum i would not have got to where i have got to today and i have personally thanked you all during each step of the process.

perhaps the subconscious reason for creating this this post was to act as a reminder to pat myself on the back as to have successfully followed this through to this point is quite miraculous.

No doubt and I'm happy for you. I made my comment because when we humans make DMT it's a process of synthesis, so I was just being specific for the sake of clarity.

Granted, the spell you created could've referred to the extraction process as well!

And still the easiest methods will general commence with starting materials derived from living nature, be that, say, amino acids or even benzene from crude oil. Starting with abiogenic carbonate minerals, water, and atmospheric nitrogen, for example, would make for a significantly greater challenge - but the plants still manage it!

To add to what @Transform said, this also highlights an issue with the naturalist argument. The things made in a lab came from the earth, everytime, all the time. We as humans don't create much except for concepts. We don't make things out of thin air, and that includes the base molecules used for synthesis.
