Cactus.jpg

Here's a new cactus I was recently gifted! It is a Notocactus Scopa silver. I need to re-pot it so it can grow! :)

saguaroMoon_seip.jpg

...and here's a cool picture I found on the internet. Was it here? Not sure where I saw it... probably somewhere.

The Ariocarpus autumn flower show continues.

cimg0310.jpg

A. retusus - white flowers.

cimg0308358.jpg

My venerable A. fissuratus - about 16 years old.

cimg0307348.jpg

Pale yellow flowered A. trigonus - the largest member of the genus.

cimg0309688.jpg

A. scaphirostris - a quite large member of this small species. Just found in one valley in Mexico - possibly the most difficult of the genus.

Seems to be little point in coming here and posting pics nowadays. Nobody ever comes to view - I think I will stop bothering.
I always enjoy seeing your plants :)

I am more disappointed by the lack of discussion of cultivation and the pseudo-information that gets spread around by people "identifying" san pedro cacti. I wish there was more scientific information about these plants so we could actually know something, but it's all mostly hearsay and conjecture.

The A. fissuratus and A. retusus are friggen amazing man, I really need to start getting these slower growing genus and moar globulars. The only things that flower for me right now have the daintiest little flowers and I want to start to get moar of a flower show like you :p

Here is my mammillaria nejapensis with its little flowers and this little guy that I left out when I brought everyone else in this year to hopefully flower since apparently its trying to from the cooler weather.

Here´s a couple of old venerables - my Pachypodium lamerei - my mother gave me this - it was growing on her bathroom windowsill.

cimg0322440.jpg

and my Astrophytum myriostigma.

a-myriostigma3.jpg

I have had both of these about 16 years. Both about due a repot - NOT a job I am looking forward to.

wow that Pachypodium is friggen boss lol I have a prolly 2 foot one with tons of branches and I cant imagine what that would look like after 16 years with as many branches it has already.

Beautiful pictures everyone!

A Ferocactus (wislizeni?)
And another friend I haven't gotten to identifying.

The bottom cactus is a Gymnocalycium baldianum I think because I got one at the very begining of spring that was flowering and the flowers and tucked in spines look spot on.
Here is the Pachypodium that I was saying I have right now, and I cant imagine all of those basal branch things growing to become like spanish's pachypodium. :D

I'm not quite sure how old it is because I picked it up from a home and garden store in August, but it has to have some years on it already or else its just an amazingly abundant grower.

These aren't mine, but I had to stop and take some photos. Two nice big San Pedros blooming up a storm.
