Proper freeze precip method / also, no hyperspace... what went wrong?

What is the proper method of freeze precipitation using naphtha and glass evaporating dish? Is a cap necessary or do the crystals form on the bottom of the dish?
Also, SWIM once used a fan to evaporate the naphtha solvent as described in the lazy man's tek. After a few hours, the naphtha evaporated and left yellow crystals surrounded by thin clear sticky layer. SWIM scraped up as much of the dry crystals as he could but still couldnt avoid some of the goo. He took 3 hits but no hyperspace, just a head change and plastic lungs. Why no hyperspace?

hey there, it looks like we may have had the same problem.

Vaporizing isn't as easy as some might think, you will need proper device and method to be successful. And it's best to take it all in one or two inhalations.
