Q21 tek issues

I mixed 100g of MHRB with 60g of lime and have been stirring for over an hour and the mixture is no where near dry and doesn't seem to be changing colors. Am I doing this right?

maybe you add a little more lime, say 5 grams increment at a time.

Could you be a little more specific.

The post seems to say that the lime was added to the MHRB, it says nothing about vinegar or water, only that it isn't dry.

Explain exactly what you did, there is not enough information.
How much water and/or vinegar was added, was it hot? how long was it left to sit?
Was the MHRB powdered or shredded.
What brand is the lime, are you sure it is Ca(OH)2?
Is the quality of the MHRB under question or is it good?

I skipped the acid/defatting step. The MHRB was powdered and was from http://www.adenium.com.br/naturalproducts.asp?ido=1 and the limonene was from the JimJamShop. Sorry, I knew I was probably vague, but I didn't know what to be specific about. Anyway, I weighed out the bark and the limonene separately, combined them, stirred slowly and thoroughly for 4 hours, and there was still a decent amount of fluid (limonene)

Okay, I'm not sure where you read the tek or got the steps but what you've done is not going to get you DMT at all.

Lets see...

1: The acid step takes 2 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to complete and makes the tek take 4-6 hours instead of 48-72 and also produces cleaner DMT, says that in the tek.
2: Lime is a white powder, calcium hydroxide, that is what makes the DMT able to be extracted from the bark with a solvent.
3: d-limonene is added after the vinegar step and the lime step, it is a solvent that dissolve the DMT, but only if the lime (or another base) has been added to sufficiently raise the PH

I'm not sure why you added d-limonene straight to MHRB. You're MHRB is not ruined but you need to follow the tek properly...

I religiously mix 25g lime per 100g Mimosa with a bit of basic water and it works like a charm.

Ok, thanks, I was confusing d-Limonene with lime. Once I get that, I'll let you know how things go.

Update: I went and bought the vinegar and lime. I just completed the vinegar step and am about to add the lime.
