I've been reading about these things called quasicrystals and I thought some of you would probably be interested in them. They are basically materials that periodic arrangement of atoms doesn't apply to and until relatively recently, they were thought not to exist. They may lead to things like super strong materials, nanotechnology and other things. You may also find them interesting if you are into sacred geometry, I saw one that looked similar to the flower of life.
