Hello,
Long time lurker, new time poster!
I had a question about my STB extraction. Normally I used to use Mimosa but since that is hard to get now I switched to Acacia confusa.
I am doing a STB where I have a highly basic solution with my powdered plant material.
I put in my naptha and did the first pull placed it in the collection jug
On the second pull I let it sit over night and when I woke up this morning I noticed on the bottom part of the naptha solution separation resting on top of the base/plant matter solution I noticed there formed I good amount of what looks like "white puff balls/snowflake" looking things.
It looks like crystals and has a snowflake type structure I guess. When I took a tool to pick one out to examine it closer it kept it shape until I applied some pressure and then dissolved/broke apart.
I have never seen this before I'm hoping for the best and assuming it is xtals that formed and will just redissolve in the naptha upon continuing with the extraction.
Can anyone shed light on this? Could it be something else that is bad?
Also I noticed that with Acacia confusa the naptha solution is more orange brown than when I used MHRB. I'm assuming that is normal considering the different color in the plant matter
Thank you for any and all help!
