Below is the picture of SWIM's end product he tried it but didn't breakthrough(got a head high) but he wants to know what everyone is talking about as far as "crystals". Like in the picture below it always comes out a yellow fluff caked to the jar after freeze precipitation

SWIM is using a STB lazyman's TEK method. Should SWIM try for whiter product or is yellow stuff the same?

Also the fluffy powder seems dry but where it sat in the jar is kind of oily. why is that? SWIM is a perfection nazi so please any advice anything will be much APPRECIATED!!!!!!!! :D

Looks fine to me. If you want to go the extra mile look into doing a recrystallization. If you do this, and are interested in getting proper 'crystals', you can either evaporate your solvent or periodically cycle the jar between the fridge and the freezer. Either of these methods will take much longer than a standard freeze precipitation, but large glass-shard crystals take longer to form.

The jar usually has a tiny bit of waxy/oily leftovers after I scrape the crystals out, it's normal.

Freeze precip is going to leave your dmt in a fluffy powdery state. To form crystals you have to do other methods of retrieving your end product. Fluff is just as good as crystal, maybe better cuz its easier to work with(to me). Its preference really. Your pic looks fine, a little more yellow than I would like mine, but its perfectly smokable spice. Try holding your hits in longer and taking bigger hits. Your problem is not your spice. :)

To be honest that's my favorite colour spice:d I find it is harder to get wrong when vaping compared to white spice. I only have to look at white spice wrong and it seems to disappear.:surprised

Agree with Du57mi73 post and CatchThirtyThr33 post on technique and re-crystallization.

Haha. Yea. I like mine to be white with a yellow tint, instead of just yellow. If that makes sense. I know what you mean about white spice though.
