question on improving polar extraction

Swim has been using mars tek for his extractions. In the polar extraction it calls for 1qt of white vinegar and 3qts of water (for a pound of mhrb). In his tek he doesnt account for already powdered mhrb but shreded and chopped mhrb.when swim does the 3 cooks (2hrs each) and he pours out some of the liquid it is extremely thick (due to the powder being extremely fine) and is wondering if he is pouring out some xtra alkaloids that should still be "cooked" or extracted.I read somewhere (i forget where) that when using powderes mhrb that you should increase the h20/vinegar solution to make the liquid thinner in order to keep more of the alkaloids in the crockpot to be extracted.Does anyone know if this is true and if so, how much should swim increase his solution by and should he stick to the 3/1 h20/vinegar

It's mostly the STB's that require extra water with prepowdered bark. With either technique, if the liquid is free flowing and pourable, you're probably fine though my friend has taken to using quite a lot of water with his A/B extractions and reducing the volume before basifying - not an option with an STB obviously.
That particulate matter you see is nothing to worry about - after three cooks, it's done. Put your solution in the fridge overnight and everything will settle to the bottom and you can pour the liquid with the salted alks off the top.
