hello everyone, i have a quick question.
this is my 2nd xtraction
my water turned yellowish after adding the lye, i dont remember that happening the first time, am i just being paranoid?

what kind of plant material are you using and how much lye did you add?

it was just lye and water when it turned yellow
but im doin an stb with mhrb
i went a head and added the mhrb now, so im hoping its allright

btw, mods: sorry for starting this thread, i realized where i should have posted my question now, i was in a hury and being careless. you can delete this thread if you want

the lye may be contaminated it should not turn yellow I have done it many times but water never did turn yellow after I added lye in it.

IMO its contaminated lye or the contamination come from plastic bottle if you are using plastic one ?
