questions about "the machine"

as i do not have a glass drillbit i have tapped on the bottom of a wine bottle until a portion of the bottom broke off giving me a decent sized hole, i dont see any reason why this wouldnt work but i am just double checking to calm my nerves, if i was to tape the top half of a water bottle (kind of like a lightbulb vape) to the bottom of the Machine as a mouthpiece this would still function correctly right?

Yeah will work fine. wine bottle is bigger than needed though smaller is better.

like a beer bottle? 355ml? does it matter if there are more place to escape in the beer bottle (it chipped a lot more and i just fixed it with tape its a pretty ok seal)
