quick question

I was wondering if someone could help me out and give me a rough estimate without a scale just how much 40mg looks like cause yesterday was my first time smoking dmt and and I had to guess how much to smoke and thank goodness I was cautious and didn't smoke much because I just felt real weird and it looked like my vision was in HD cause everything got so vivid. But anyways any help at all will be appreciated.

you'll be in a hellish timeless insanity that can seem like hours, come out shaking and never want to touch spice again.
Also if you open your eyes and try to move you might grab a knife and try to end the insanity with a slice.

That is of course the worst case scenario

From what I understand, when you smoke too much, you don't really remember anything from the trip...

I just recrystallized some spice, and it came out very dense and granular – almost like salt. 0.5g filled about ¼ of a vial, so a full vial would be about 2g. I normally fill this vial with light fluffy spice, and it holds about 0.7g.

So the difference in density can vary at least by a factor of 3!

I once tried to eyeball 40mg from a quantity transported in foil in a book; later estimates, based on a measurement and subjective estimate place the eyballed quantity at between 100-150mg!! So Gibran2 's threefold example is pretty accurate... And trust me, you do not want to smoke this quantity by accident OR by intent. Don't wait to learn the hard way- get scales!! Or at least make changa, and start out slow, taking small hits till you breakthrough.

If you're making changa or enhanced leaf, a normal .01g scale will provide a close enough approximation.

Hmm. I've been eyeballing it, but I know it's not the way to go. I have a glass freebase pipe, I've been mostly measuring from the tokes I take, and have found that one huge one takes me to where I want to go. But I guess I'll buy a scale when I get out from work. It does sound much safer.

By the looks of it you didn´t smoke enough That is the minimal effect you can get out of it (aka residual dose)
And yes, the scale is a must. just search it here on the nexus cause there are a lot of topics that indicate very nice scales at dirt cheap prices

Damn, that's quite a difference! I wonder how there's so much variation?
