well sublingual doses are only 20-50mg as opposed to 150-200mg for oral. so it wouldn't orally activate dmt, but it would potentiate vaped.
if your caapi is 1% harmalas, then 5g should be a good dose for quidding (but half that might do the trick as well - even a quarter that if your caapi is 2%).

only mention i can find of someone doing this before is some guy from the shroomery recommending 15g. which seems like a lot to quid.
i would wager its probably worth doing an extraction.
sodium carbonate is like a $ per pound (At least at walmart), one 3lb box will last for many many extractions.
after that you just have to make acidified tea, filter it well, base it, let it sit in the fridge overnight, and then filter out the alkaloids the next day.
simple as that really (teks in the wiki for specific instructions).
