Hello tribe,
I got 30g of mhrb and 30g lye with 300ml water mixed is this a good ratio
I see a lot of different ratio so I ended up doing that one. Any advice you guys can give me would be helpful. How much Naptha would I need with 30g root 30g lye 300ml?

Use 1:1:15:1 ratio (MHRB:NaOH:Water:naptha). You can use even 2 or 3 in this ratio for naptha, but pre-evap before freeze-precip.

I have used ratio 80g of MHRB, 40g of KOH, 20g of salt, 550-600ml of water and 50ml of toluene with excellent results.

When I take the Naptha and put it in a baking pan u recommend leaving it in room temp for pre evap? After that put it in the freezer over night. When I take it out the next day I was going to put the reused Naptha back in bottle with the root. Then turn the pan upside down to evaporate.
The link with swim explaining the Coffee filter didn’t make sense for me.
He wanted the Naptha to pre evap then put it back in the freezer then take it out the next day with a coffee filter attached on the head of the bottle and pour the Naptha on the coffee filter. Is that correct?

If you use more non-polar, you have to pre-evap for better saturation - thus easier freeze-precipitation.
Do not use any filter if possible, just let it for a day in the freezer and then pour of the non-polar carefuly as fast as possible when out of the freezer.
