Re-Xing with IPA

SWIM had about 2 1/2 grams of mixed crystal/goo dmt/nmt then washed in IPA then he stuck in the freezer for a day and some. He ended up with a little over a gram. Why did it turn everything into a tan colored wax? He supposedly has been using heptane prior and had great results but he has 20 or so bottles of IPA he's trying to make use with. The product seems to be very potent but some people prefer xtals.

You cant recrystallize freebase DMT/NMT with IPA because both the alkaloids as well as impurities are too soluble in it. From where did you get this idea? Dont just substitute solvents if you´re not sure of what you´re doing.

You´re lucky you didn´t completely lose your product with the wash.
