So, one time I received a new batch of Changa, and it had just so happened I knocked my scale off the bench the other day resulting in it not working anymore (This was a while back, since have gotten a new one.) However being all excited I just eyeballed out myself a dose cause I was "Experienced" and knew "how much it weighs just by looking at it." Turns out I was way off and I had the interesting effect of seeing my wood stove fireplace turn completely black (I've seen Lego land visuals, I've seen textures on things, but never have I ever seen something completely turn a different colour.) Like this was texture replacement on a different level, then thing was completely JET BLACK, not shiny but still had a metal sort of texture and looked absolutely almost demonic lol. Needless to say it was a huge dose, seeing that I was like "omg - what have I done?" When I got my scale replaced I weighed out my remaining changa and estimated I had done about 220mg in one go.
I've never actually broken through however, in my YEARS of use somehow I've never willed myself to go that deep. However I would like to get there one day and many people have recommended Changa as the way to go. My big question is... how does one go about administering their second, third, fourth, fifth hits etc? I doubt very much I will be eyeballing my hits any more, and getting up during the experience, whipping out the scale and measuring out doses seems like the least fun thing I can think of. Do people like, pre-measure their hits and have separate piles to keep adding to the bowl, or do people just keep adding small pinches to continue the journey? Or does anyone actually measure up their hits once the journey has started? Or just have a massive bowl and only take small hits? Just curious on peoples feedback/protocols on this. Honestly one of my least favourite parts is weighing up the dose beforehand somehow, it feels kinda 'druggy' and with the pre-flight anxiety it's just not my favourite part of the process. That and feeling like my 'tolerance' to DMT is above average, but this is a topic for another post.
My other question is what time do people usually start their ceremonies at? I find that usually by the time I've willed myself to go into the space it's already late, after which I feel like it keeps me awake until the break of dawn. I found it a bit bizarre that Ayahuasca ceremonies seem to be done exclusively at night. Doesn't this throw off peoples sleep schedules?
Thanks everyone

Although there have been times where I did do it daily, generally wouldn't be doing it often, if at all for months at a time. I've definitely heard having a buddy there is beneficial, not just in terms of physically facilitating but also as a sort of moral support; there's been times where I had the strongest seeming will to 'get there' but then as soon as that second or maybe on occasion third toke was happening in quick succession and things started getting really weird, I remember once getting nystagmus (back in my days of "the machine" and I think i was burning it maybe) and I'd almost instinctively throw down the pipe. Like nope, I'm good actually.
I guess when it comes down to what feels right in terms of timing i would say that yeah you are probably right, doing it is better than not doing it at all. Even if someways have been a bit of 'hangover' almost like feeling from the lack of sleep and probably being not fully hydrated going into the experience.
I should just find an assistant, like you said.
