Recent ACRB extraction - thoughts and questions

Hello all,

I recently did a ACRB extraction using a combination of max ion and using earthwalkers extra defat step. Previously I had only gotten yellow crystallized goo but this time I got white crystallized goo. I had also been using canning jars as crystallization vessels since the crystals form on the walls and the goo typically remains at the bottom. This time I used a glass pyrex baking pan and got little blobs of crystals covered in goo and the rest being crystaly goo.

Like most newbies, I don't really care for working with the goo. I had been scraping and using weed to scrape it into the bowl (it worked decently), then I made enhanced leaf using calea with the remaining which I didn't care for too much (between taste and harshness of smoke). So my question is, how do many of you work with crystallized goo? I don't currently have access to dry ice so I cant precipitate the NMT out either. Normally I would just reX but on one of my past extractions even 2 reXs didn't change the fact that it was goo it just became clear goo instead of orange/yellow.

When you did the cleanup step from earthwalkers tek (mini a/b) how much fat/oils were between the acid and solvent layers?

You could always redissolve your goo in solvent and perform another mini a/b cleanup.
I'm surprised you got goo after a cleanup.

There was a decently thick layer of fats/oils between the layers. Do you think it being in oil form is potential NMT or still oils? because its crystal clear with the slightest yellow/beige tinge when scraped together (however you can see white crystals in this yellow/beige tint)

What sp of Acacia did you use?
I'm more inclined to think its plant oils. How much do you think you have mg wise?
Just thinking whether its worth trying to clean up a small volume of DMT solution.

acacia confusa, and i havent taken exact weight yet, but judging that i sampled around 100mg with a friend and that is hardly a dent in it I would say I have somewhere over a gram maybe a little less than 2 grams.

Ok, so in that regard. Dissolve everything you have in solvent - 100ml would be plenty. Put that solvent in a mild heat bath to get the temp up so all the DMT dissolves in it.

Back salt it (acidify pH 2) once more in a mini a/b. Make sure you mix it nice and gently but thoroughly over 15 minutes. Swirling is enough. When you remove the dirty solvent, try to suck up all of the fat layer with the dirty solvent. Even if you grab a little bit of Acidified water that's OK.

Base it and pull with fresh clean solvent and put in a flat Pyrex glass tray with lid. Evap it down a little and then leave it in the freezer for 24 hours without touching it.

When its time to drain off the naphtha, decant it all off into a glass.

Then grab a bit of kitchen paper towel (same size as the lid) put it over the top of the container then put the lid back on. Put it back in the freezer for 20 minutes upside down to drain in to the paper. That way all your solvent should drain off completely. I do that to stop excess solvent from warming and dissolving crystals.

Once you're done then fan it for an hour on high. Then let it sit at room temp for another few hours. If you don't have really nice crystals from that I'll be very surprised.
