Recovering from a spill

Hey guys,

My cat had an accident last night that resulted in spilling naphtha during the collection phase. In a panic, several unbleached coffee filters were used to soak up the pool.

What is the best way to recover the spice without losing buckets of solvent? Should the filters be soaked in naphtha and discarded? Or would another solvent be better? Or should they be added to the basified liquid to allow the freebase to return to solution and be pulled conventionally?
There is a limited amount if naphtha available to me right now, but I do have dried rubbing alcohol on hand. The filters are dry and have a pungent aroma, buy no visible crystals. The unspillrd solvent freeze precipitated very well however.

Shred the filters as much as possible and pull from them with whatever decent solvent you got handy. Use your rubbing alcohol if that's only alcohol (and to a much lesser extent water) as this will pull much more. Then evap the alcohol and re-x along with your freeze precipitates.

Otherwise pull with warm naphtha a few times and freeze-precipitate.

Definitely do not add them in the basified solution.
