Recrystalization Wait

SWIM used the Nomans tek (doing a 1/2 lbs and a full lbs separate). Afterward SWIM was very happy with the results! Now SWIM is recrystallizing using Heptane. He was wondering how long is it recommended to wait after it had gone through the room temp, refrig temp to freezer?

SWIM already sees a lot of pretty white crystals! Just want to make sure he has everything so he can reuse the solvent!

there's no need to wait. Very slow temperature decrease and/or alternating between colder and warmer temperatures (like fridge/room temp and fridge/freezer) several times will make your crystals larger, but in terms of yield amounts, it wont change anything.

Its nice to at least once in life grow some crystals, its a beautiful process, but if all you want is some dmt to smoke, just go straight to freezer for, say, 12-24 hours and there you go. Check the FAQ for tips on how to retrieve crystals post-precipitation..

Also regarding recrystallization, the ideal is to use the minimum amount of warm solvent to redissolve dmt from the impure crystals, leaving most impurities behind. What was the ratio of dmt to solvent that you used?

12hrs room temp 12hrs in the fridge 24hr in the freezer will leave you with some nice crystals. Extend room/fridge times for larger crystals. As endlessness mentioned the yield will be the same, but big crystals are fun to grow they should be a little more pure if grown slowly as well.
