Reduction??

I wanted to jump on here and ask what the best, or, some of your preferred methods of reducing volume are?

I’ve got an extraction that has finished the acid soak, but before I basify, I really need to reduce the volume.

Right now it’s in two mason jars, almost full. I would rather I didn’t have to separate it into four vessels. Two is enough.

I don’t want to boil it off, but would like to get it done quickly so I can move on. I haven’t had to do a reduction yet, and pending good advice on here, I was going to put the jar into a boiling water bath and, well….wait.

Any advice? Thanks in advance for taking the time to help

put it in a wide container under a fan? or any other way of increasing surface area
if you are considering a heat bath why not just reduce it on the stove on the lowest setting so it would simmer gently + fan action.

Exactly this. Rest a computer fan on top of some mesh - a frying pan splatter guard is ideal - resting over the barely-simmering pan. Make sure you stay close by, because, the less liquid there is, the quicker it evaporates.
