Regarding Acacia Confusa

Because of the recent problem regarding the availability of Mimosa Hostilis in the UK, i decided to look for alternate solutions for DMT extraction, but from all the information on the internet, im finding it hard to come to any conclusion regarding extraction from Acacia Confusa bark so i decided to see what they had to say about Acacia, heres my message and there reply.

"I was interested in buying a kilo of mimosa hostilis but have recently discovered this new problem with customs, so i turned my attention to acacia confusa, but after research ive decided acacia confusa would be pointless for me to buy, is this trunk bark?
I understand that the problem with the UK and mimosa is in the powdered form, is the problem as drastic when its going through customs in its whole form?"

Reply:

"From our experiences and tests, either the acacia bark we have defies science, or the information available online is inaccurate. We would rate this as on par with mimosa. If you would like to buy a small amount first to see, it's up to you, but we promise you'll be pleasantly surprised.

As for mimosa, I think it's the end at least for the foreseeable future, as they are now seizing shredded, and it's too logistically complicated to send large amounts of whole."


Im still not sure whether to go ahead and order this stuff, i have found another source to buy Mimosa Hostilis in its whole bark form for a fairly good price and a bit confused about what to do, i don't want to waste my money.

I have just ordered 50g of acacia confusa for a tester, im going to also order half a kilo of mimosa hostilis on monday.
Does anyone know if nomans tek will be ok to use for the acacia confusa?

Please post SWIY's results as to how the extraction went. I assume that any mimosa tek should work with acacia confusa as they both come in the same form.

swim emailed to supplier of mimosa in canada and they said they have many uk customers but no problems with customs. they heard about it first time from swims email. so swim is going to order some soon and will see. or not see

Hi all,

In the past few months I see that more and more talk about suppliers outside the suppliers section. This is an unwanted situation.

We have the special suppliers section to talk about suppliers. The suppliers section is the only section of the forum that is NOT indexed by search machines (it's not visible to them). Also any outgoing link is routed via anoniem.org to give no DMT-Nexus hits on suppliers websites.

We do this to for a few reasons:
* Make it harder for suppliers to recommend their own products or sabotage other suppliers (the suppliers section is outside the Nursery)
* Make no hits from the DMT-Nexus on suppliers webpages, that way we are not profiled as a source
* Make no hits from the DMT-Nexus on normal suppliers (as is non entheogen suppliers) websites and search engines


So I like to ask you to keep any suppliers talk inside the suppliers section. This means no threads about them and no mentioning of them in posts outside the suppliers section.

Any existing supplier thread in the wrong section will be move to the suppliers section. If new members have something urgent to say about any supplier they can contact me or one of the mods.

Well i bruoght like 50g of it from them, i have done simple stb tek and seems lke it has all worked, going to test the xtals i got from it 2night, but it seems as if acacia confusa is very similar to mimosa

Yer i eventually ordered it (50g) and started an STB tek yesterday, first 2 pulls have been in the freezer for about 14 hours now, some nice pure white crystals forming, im going to do another 2 pulls and put the pulls back in the jar with the crystals, not scrapping any until all pulls are done.

This is my first extraction and i have never had any psychedelic, i have a guinea pig who has volunteered anyway

I assume NMT is not "bad" and would just bulk out the weight of the crystals?

Or is there more to it than that?

According to burnt's tests, NMT is present in mimosa too. Also notice through our chemical alkaloid info wiki that NMT has a xlogp lower than dmt, just above dmt n-oxide, so it is possible that its not very soluble in naphtha, a recrystallization could probably get rid of the bulk of NMT (in theory, only testing will tell).

Maybe NMT doesnt precipitate by doing FASI/FASA either, who knows. There's a bunch of things we can test, Im sure one way or another we would find a way to separate it, but we need people testing.

As for NMT's activity or toxicity, shulgin claims it doesnt seem to be very active except one person saying smoking it gave a 15 seconds visual (placebo? ), and there seems to be no info if its toxic, probably not very?

I would just extract like a normal dmt extraction and recrystallize whatever comes out, and bioassay and post back

Yeah id like to hear more back of other sucessful extractions as mimosa seems like its gone for the time being. also SWIMS last extraction on mimosa went to shit really just freezed the last 2 pulls to find nothing in the jars in the morning please someone else try a acacia confusa extraction inform us of the tek used and yeild id appreciate it )

Be careful what results you get from who. Not to meaning to criticize but if folks whom have not succeeded in extracting DMT from mimosa (tried and tested methods) try extracting from this Acacia Confusa, the results may not exactly be conclusive.

SWIM has suceeded pleanty of times i think it is neigh on impossible to fail a STB tek ) they were SWIMS last 2 pulls which yeilded nothing the other pulls yeilded high i was just stating SWIM was dissapointed not that SWIM had failed. If any one has a sucessfull extraction story please PM me the tek and yeilds. Cheers

I was not criticizing you HydroBlowback. Just making a point that there will be a number of folks new extractions who may not have ever worked with mimosa and are learning to extract with this Acacia Confusa. These results may not be as conclusive as the results yielded from someone experienced in the field.

Extraction not completed, but 3 pulls now in the freezer…

Initial observations from an 250g A. Confusa A/B extraction:
• A lot easier to work with than MHRB, a lot less oily.
• Minimal emulsions and those that appeared settled very fast on their own.
• Naphtha seems to be full of something! Comes out a lovely white with no evap.

So– fingers crossed for some nice xtals to look at tomorrow!

Nah thats alright i understand and agree with what your saying its so frustrating mimosa seems to be gone for now at least it makes everything a whole lot more difficult hopefully things get sorted out with customs if not i hope SWIM can find a suitable replacement be it acacia confusa or another source. I must say it has really pissed me off /
